A romance that bloomed at a livestream event during lockdown has finally come to fruition…

FED ASH + HIRS ~ I AM BODY HORROR LP [X]

On July 18th, 2021, Fed Ash and HIRS played together for the first time in a corner of record store in Syracuse, NY for a livestream. No audience. Just us, stream freaks Death Scythe Media, folks that ran The Sound Garden record store, and a couple friends. From that moment we knew we would at the very least share space together in the future.

Barely a year later, August 2022, we finally did our first weekend run together and the glue noticeably started to bind tighter. We knew after those three days we would need something more substantial than merely playing shows together.

It took us 3 years to finally get into the same room and mold these 11 songs into what they are now but once the momentum was initiated- it never stopped. Within a couple months, and just a few practices, we were all in @vivastudiova in Fairfax, VA with Matthew Michel and finished writing and recording “I AM BODY HORROR” over the course of two weekends.
